Went to the store on Wed. to get a packet of taco seasoning. Forgot about Snowmaggedon. Whole store was packed and shelves were being cleared already. I turned around and walked right out.
People are morons.

In the supermarket this morning, this girl in front of me was buying 3 loaves of white bread. Probably 20-25 slices per loaf. That's 60-75 slices. How much toast can a family eat?

I actually went out Wednesday and picked up some stuff..was getting slightly armageddony already, but not too bad. The eggs and meat depts. seemed to be taking the biggest hits. Also topped off the gas tank. I'd rather over-prepare than not...served me well during Sandy and a few other storms. If anything, I dont have to drive on the same roads with arseholes for a few days, just keep the cars parked.
One thing I'd like to do though is if I spot a TV crew by the local Home Depot, I would walk out with a shovel and a bag of icemelt. When the network eejit goes "getting ready for the storm?" and shoves a mic in front of my face on live TV.. I'd respond as Carl Spackler. "oh... no..I caught my wife texting 6 dudes, you see..and... she had an accident with my poultry scissors...lol. Gonna bury her with the shovel and the icemelt makes her body turn to mush.., so you know..the evidence disappears..so I have that going for me...which is nice." Then walk away.
