QB comparison time, also known as time to rip on Beerfish's outlandish comments.
Wentz - Andy Dalton (The good Andy Dalton, not the bad playoff one.) Lynch - Joe Flacco (Potential to be a better version of Flacco if his health checks out) Goff - Drew Brees light (I still have him as my #1 QB, throws a very nice ball and gets it out quickly.) Cook - Matt Barkley (Right down to the fact that he should have come out last year.) Hackenburg - Zack Mettenburger (Because their names are similar.) C. Jones - JaWalrus Russell (Jones face looks like he is just begging to put on about 50 more pounds.)

Wentz -- Carson Palmer Lynch -- Aaron Rodgers Goff -- Jay Cutler Cook -- Trent Dilfer Allen -- Drew Brees Prescott -- Tarvaris Jackson Hackenburg -- Mettenburger is right!

Anyone have any thoughts on these DB's? I have a tough time evaluating this group and with numerous big guys coming out I'd bet my ass that we end up drafting one this year. Any thoughts on Miles Killebrew becoming our Deon Bucannon?

I'm looking for a later round guy because it looks like a deep group. Anybody have any thoughts on the Shumate guy?

Any thoughts on Miles Killebrew becoming our Deon Bucannon? I missed the combine today, because I had on the NHL Network, but I'll add him to the list. Tonight I'm going to watch tape on Justin Simmons BC and Kevon Seymour USC.

So I just watched a bunch of tape on Simmons. Unfortunately almost all of it is from this year when he played safety. He's got nice size and is physical. He's also not scared to put his nose in there and make a tackle. He's an above average tackler as a DB, but will miss some tackles because he over pursues sometimes. Like Mathieu he's a S/CB hybrid, but not as big of a play maker. I feel like he's what we wanted Antonio Allen to be. However, Allen failed because he's more of a LB/S. Overall I'd love him in the 3rd round. He would allow our defense to be more flexible in the back end depending on the match up. Even tho he ran a 4.61 40 that's still better than Josh Norman. He also had one of the best 3 cone and shuttle times in the past 5 years. He's a gamer and his tape is pretty good.
I couldn't find much on Kevon Seymour. I guess I'll have to watch entire USC games, so onto Miles Killebrew then. Honestly, I only watched one game tape against Sam Houston St and it was terrible. He took terrible angles, and didn't wrap up. He constantly tackled the player up high and went for the strip instead of taking them to the ground. This caused him to few miss a bunch of tackles. It also seemed like he shied away from contact unless it was the perfect hit. Maybe with less responsibilities he would do better, because it looked like he was over thinking things. That might explain why he was usually a step late. Overall I trust Bowles to get the best out of a wannabe saftey. He has all the physical tools so maybe he can excel at LB/S. I just wouldn't take him before the 4th round.

If you are looking for a mid round guy that could fit that Bucannon role look at Jayron Kearse from my alma mater. With his size and speed and willingness to hit people, he could develop into that hybrid role. Or, you could draft Darron Lee in the first and you could have a real 3 down ILB.

I am very intrigued by Darron Lee. Could play inside in the 3-4 and shift outside on passing downs. He would be a real asset in coverage and add some speed in the pass-rush. However, after his combine, he might not make it to #20.

He looks more like an Ethiopian marathon runner than he does an ILB.
