so I see a movie trailer about an Olympian and WWII and a guy shot down in a raft, and I was like shit, that sounds familiar. I read a book something like that,great fucking book. What was the name of it.... A little research, and the book is titled Unbroken. It's the story of Louis Zamperini.
If if the movie is half as good as the book, then it should be a great flick. I highly recommend reading the book too/first. Amazing what this man endured, and survived.
