Emerson is the 3rd leading rusher in Jet history with 5,135 yards in a 10-year NFL career -- all 10 years with the Jets. He took his rightful place in the NYJ ring of honor last season -- being inducted at halftime of the Jets 38-20 victory against Miami on November 29. He was inducted with Matt Snell, the two RBs joined 1968 teammates Joe Namath, Gerry Philbin, Winston Hill, Larry Grantham and Weeb Ewbank in the Jets ring of honor.
