The Jets and D'Brickashaw Ferguson agreed to a 6-year / $60 Million contract extension on this date, July 7, in 2010. The contract included $34.8 mil in guaranteed money which was a record at the time among offensive linemen.
Since Brick still had two years left on his rookie deal, it meant he would remain tied to the Jets for 8 seasons, through 2017. As we all know, he retired this spring, rather than play the final year of that deal.
