^ From that article. Very interesting data although I don't know how they define subjective terms such as "compliant" or "not compliant".

This is very true. Education is the most important thing that will raise you up. America gives everyone a chance to get educated. If you are poor there are a lot of FREE ways to go to college but so many people don't take advantage of the FREE school you get from Pre-K through 12 let alone college. Almost everyone in America has access to the internet also but most use it to watch porn, play games or watch tv shows rather than taking advantage of the FREE education on sites such as Khan Academy and other similar sites. If you don't have internet access in your home you can get it at school or at the public library. So many of us sit in FREE classes until we are 18 and do everything we can to NOT learn rather than take advantage of this gift from society. This is the result of poor parenting and an entitlement attitude. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. Is it the easy way? Absolutely not, but education is the only way to raise yourself up whether you are learning a trade, skill or going to college. Any other path is a request for a hard and dangerous life. Crime might get you there temporarily but you will lose in the end. Really? Who offers free pre-k? A democratic ny mayor is fighting a democratic governor to get it in NYC. You should try getting on the Internet at the library to see what it's like. And not in a white suburb, either The town I live in now and the town I lived in previously, both in NJ, do. Our school got a grant and got a ton of Chromebooks for the kids plus there is a computer lab and computers in the library. There are a lot of towns that offer free Pre-K. www.freepreschools.org/In NY www.freepreschools.org/state/new_york.html

“Every societal failure, we put it off on the cops to solve” said Brown. He listed mental health, drug addiction, loose dogs, failing schools as problems the public expects ‘cops to solve.’ Point taken but failing schools are blamed on cops? Everyone knows its the teachers unions.

Everyone knows its the teachers unions. I thought that was odd too but they are his words not mine. I am sure he has a reason for saying that. Maybe he is talking about school violence?

When I'm done shooting a couple of dudes for no reason so I can ruin my life, sacrifice my families security and become a target for BLM...I like to go into schools and throw books in the garbage and trash the desks. When the school fails...I larf heartily..because thats how we all roll.

I have stories for you. Walking into schools back in the late 80's, early 90's as a semi-libtard happy go lucky cawp and being treated as a fvcking NAZI by the staff...like we were the enemy. Eye opener.

Harlem. Good times. Alot of it had to do with the fact that the Board of Ed and the Principals had alot staked in what was reported in their schools...bottom line, the safety of kids were less important than sh*tcanning negative numbers as it were. Much of that attitude leaks into the kids perception of LE unfortunately.
