July 11, 2006On this date in 2006, the Jets signed 4-year veteran QB Patrick Ramsey. Ramsey, a former first round pick of the Redskins was signed to be the veteran back-up to Chad Pennington while rookie Kellen Clemens was 3rd string. Ramsey threw one pass in his Jets career -- it was intended for Laveraneus Coles on a 1st and 10 in the 3rd quarter of a 26-11 victory against Houston. It fell incomplete.

ramsey is just another example of a qb having a decent season with one team and then falling flat with the next.
