If I were running for president, that would be my one platform. Nothing else. No new programs or set asides for ANYONE. All were going to do for 4 years is pay down this debt. Cut spending, new taxes. It's a big shit sandwich and we all have to take a bite.

Year 2 - all federal spending cut 5%
Year 3 - all federal spending cut 10%

Fuck, that just prolongs the pain. In Roman times, they would just elect some guy Dictator, and absolve him of anything he did while in office. Then he would just kill off all the rich folks and confiscate their estates. Their way seems much easier.
