I've seen the effects of war on civilians first hand and it fuckin destroys me to see kids I'm that situation. I played soccer with a few afghan kids and a shitty rubber ball was like a fuckin $1M to them. let me ask you something Harrier.. did you feel bad for the German kids at Dresden who were burned alive by the RAF, after London was bombed for 3 years straight killing thousands of British women and children? Civilians are always casualties of war, I accept that, it doesn't mean we can't spare a bit of sympathy for those caught up in it. It just pisses me off when some armchair warrior gives the no mercy speech when they've probably never seen a dead body in their lives. |

All I'm sayin is Afghanistan left a profound effect on my life, I was there to do a job but felt sorry for a few young kids my kids age caught up in it. This "nuke them all" option just doesn't exist anymore IMO, over time that shit grows back and you're back to square one. |

The only solution is colonize, take the oil and babysit. Probably about 20k troops needed in the region from now until eternity.
If youre not willing to do that then we can't whine about this shit anymore. The have been fighting for longer than we have even existed. Frankly, they are better suited for a war of attrition.
