This punch allowed a JAG QB to shine for 1 year (only to fall apart as usual toward the end of the season), have him resigned by the franchise, and put this organization on hold for another 2 years as we just tread water with this JAG.

I'd like to punch IK myself.
Yep. We paid this loser 12 million this year when we wouldn't have paid him 12 cents last year. This signing will go down in history as one of the worst (out of many) signings in Jets history. Just like that trade for doug fuckin' jolley. That's what this reminds me of. Fitz fuckin' Jolley.
i guess we won't ever know if genot could've been a good jet qb. the thing is the whole punch incident seemed to really show bowles and company what kind of qb they had in genot. the attitude has carried over to this year and it looks like he will be gone the minute the season ends. last night he did okay but it seemed that petty did at least equally well.
as for what the punch means now, the jets have some good qb talent to work with and enough of a qb in fitz so they can bring petty and hack along slowly. in this sense genot actually got a raw deal. no telling if he would be starting now if sanchez didn't get hurt.

I think we saw last night, I know it is just pre season. Has flashes but the second it is not straight forward and he has to think on his toes, i.e. Pressure, he is lost. I have said it time and time again, no instincts, this and this alone is what kills him.
