Is that the guy who got banned and then made his own site? No, he went with other JI castoffs and joined Jet Nation. Back in the day, I thought about joining there (after I swore I would never go back to JI after my banning), but it's a different type of crowd - inside jokes are so inside... |

Back in the day, I thought about joining there (after I swore I would never go back to JI after my banning), but it's a different type of crowd - inside jokes are so inside... I remember one of the old complaints was that The Hampur was too cliquey and exclusive and The Landing Strip was taken over by inmates. Granted most of the complaints were from SAR but I do feel this place is much more integrated albeit smaller. I have an account over at JN but rarely visit. I prefer the tomfoolery we have here. |

Fuck knows you will have to ask them. People complain about new posters not comin here but I want the thick skinned type with their own handle, not people who are scared to stand up for themselves complaining to the powers that be. Having said that we may need to get more serious on the strip for genuine football talk or it's hard to see the site bein sustainable if it doesn't grow. |

I find him uninformed because every question he answers (or doesn't answer to be more accurate) is a vague response about making it better. "Trust me well fix that so fast it will make your head spin." If he actually tries to include details he fails: "He's not going into Ukraine, OK, just so you understand. He's not going to go into Ukraine, all right? You can mark it down." And if Ben Carson is someone you have faith in, well just agree to disagree. Anyway, a few months to go, I'm sick of talking about this. I think you are just selecting what you want to hear. He has discussed plenty of things in detail and how he plans to fix it. It may be hard to believe but some of the fixes are easy. I voted for a guy who said there was 57 states (bonus points if you can guess who). When you are willing to speak sometimes you misspeak. I choose to give him the benefit of the doubt on that one and assume he meant that they weren't going to go further. Also he did make an important point about Ukraine, many people there do want to be part of Russia. Perhaps he should go 200+ days without a presser to protect himself from such criticisms. I dunno but I find it funny how we are outraged over this comment but not outraged over our policies that led Russia to do that in the first place. It was just merely a list. And what does it say that I knew he was the one you were going to single out? A world-renowned Johns Hopkins neurosurgeon who just happens to be on the wrong side of the political aisle. I joined the last year of the Sopranos, and one of my very first posts (and last) was when I said I knew the ending of the series... the ass hat mod banned me for even suggesting that I may ruin his life by posting the ending (or my thoughts thereof). Never rejoined after that. Username was "repoman". I probably have 5 posts on JI. |
