Positives 1. Petty - Obviously has made big progress since his rookies season, pushing hard for QB2 spot. 2. Lac Edwards - Do we FINALLY have a punter? 3. Leo Williams - On a team loaded at DLine he actually seems like he could be the best. This will be a huge year for him. He's still only 22.
Negatives 1. Tight Ends - Do we have any? Seriously, it's starting to look like there is not one single NFL caliber TE on the Jets roster 2. Cornerbacks - Does anyone want the CB2 job? I was really hoping M. Williams or someone would step up so we could slide Skrine back to slot/nickel CB. No such luck yet. 3. Injuries - Enunwa, Henderson, Mauldin, Milliner, etc....Hopefully none are more than a 1-2 week thing
Other positives and negatives?

TE and CB. Couldn't agree more. I would throw in OL but Im still holding out hope they will gel.
I like Skrine and Williams but they are not #1 or #2 CBs. They are both nickel/dime backs and will be exposed if you increase their roles. After Revis there just isn't much at CB. The M&M boys are just as delicate as the candy.
Leo is scary. His body hasn't even matured yet. I think watching him develop is going to be one of the bright spots of this season.

I like our depth at WR this year with the young guys, but the CB position does really scare me. Luckily our schedule doesn't really have a lot of elite WRs. Outside of AJ and Brown its mostly 2nd tier guys like fitzy, ty hilton, watkins etc. Not to mention out of 16 games we're only playing 4 top 15 passing offenses from last year (NE, CIN, PIT, ARI) so hopefully that plays into our favor because I could see teams really attacking that weak side.

What about Justin Burris? I know he got burned a couple times but he looked pretty good for a 4th round rookie no?

I guess hes borderline based on his numbers last year but I see Fitzgerald as easier to game plan for as opposed to a guy like Julio Jones or Antonio Brown. I due to see an issue with casually throwing his name in with TY Hilton though.

It was so bad..all of it.I actually passed out from the pain. The one bright spot was Petty has arm strength.that was negated when I realized robbie Anderson is 140 pounds...and about to break in half any second? We stopped nothing..run or pass.our running backs are in a mash unit somewhere. Couldn't block run tackle or catch..very hard to watch..even for preseason.

Against guys lower down the depth chart than McLendon faced, but he made a lot more plays. Maybe he pushes for more playing time. Biggest positive for the game is it didn't count. Negatives: Geno. 4 year veteran looking a lot more like the redhsirt 2nd year man. Intentional grounding penalty was awful -- get the fucking ball to the line of scrimmage and then the pick thrown into coverage. Awful night for Geno. Jalin Marshal. 2 straight games where he has had multiple drops going across the middle--not what you want out of a slot receiver. Practice squad at best. As for the injuries, I saw reports last night that Henderson and Mauldin are fine. Milliner has a sore bicep -- doesn't sound serious. Enunwa has a concussion -- just as long as he can get through the protocol in 3 weeks we are good.

If it's a shallow Tier 1 like Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, Odell Beckham Jr, Deandre Hopkins, etc. then yes, I'd put Fitz in Tier 2, and probably not at the top of it. And this is coming from someone who knows and likes the guy. He's just not a spring chicken anymore and has clearly been moved into a possession WR type role. Michael Floyd needs to step up for the Cardinals and John Brown is clearly the big play / burner type guy.

Hey.. is Geno trying to use the Force to make plays? WTF its like hes closing his eyes when he throws. They showed the overhead at one point..he had two other guys ..wiiide open..hes throws a pick in triple coverage? Does Marcus Williams remember that we play this game with a ball? Turn your head around dude! Jace Amaro sucked so bad..I wished he was Kyle brady Brady fell down on every target too..but at least he caught it..and could block. Yes im negative..really was hoping to see some good out there. It felt like the Buttfumble game. My son patted my head and said sorry Dad..then went in the other room and watched the fucking Olympics

I mean with the exception of when Bowles gets a little exotic and looking to put Mo, Sheldon and Leo on the field all at the same time, it's going to be McClendon and Smith and the true NTs? If that's the case then we really need Simon to step up this year and be ready to rotate in there for 10-20 snaps per game. I'm not sold on McClendon yet.

We need to be scouring teams end of rosters for TEs. Patriots had AJ Derby the other night look light years better than anyone we have.
I can't accept that we aren't able to upgrade(even still at this point) that position.

I due to see an issue with casually throwing his name in with TY Hilton though. Well I got confused when you picked out ARIZ as one of the top 4 passing teams Bruce Arians (BA) is committed to having the Cardinals be a pass first team. That doesn't just include the WRs though. David Johnson will get a lot of passes out of the backfield and TEs Troy Niklas, Jermaine Gresham and Darren Fells will play fairly significant roles as well. BA really wants a full featured passing attack and he wants the passing game to run through every skill position on offense (RB, WR, TE).
