Meh. If they could pay him the league minimum or have the 49ers pick up the tab most of those GMs would take him.

I guess it's good he plays for San Fransicko - the most unAmerican city in the USA. Most of the citizens there probably feel the same way as he does. Screw 'em. I'm surprised they don't play the state anthem of the USSR before games.

FF2 - would you be ok if he pissed on the American flag? That's non violent protest as well, and it's his right. How about if stood up for the national anthem but then peed on the flag? Then joined the military, then said US military is criminal? Would you be enraged? What if he stood on his head during the national anthem? Lol

"Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind." "He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, senseless brutality, and all the loathsome nonsense that goes by the name of patriotism, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be part of so base an action! It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder." - Albert Einstein

What if he gave the reason that since the beginning of the Iraq war, over 100,000 civilian non-combatant Iraqis have been killed? That the US routinely participates in terrorism? That wouldn't be a reason. Those are lies! We are fighting for democracy!

Not true. Most Americans recognize his right to do what he did, but most Americans also believe there could have been a more productive and positive way to get his point across. IOW, you catch more flies with honey than you do vinegar. I wonder what these positive and productive methods would be that would generate a fraction of the attention and conversation this hasI want results, not blah, blah, blah. He's making enemies and getting nowhere.

Is anybody talking about how to improve things or are they just talking about how stupid they think he is? It's gotta start somewhere It's been starting. Where you been? And as for Cap, kinda ironic that a millionaire who was afforded that opportunity in this country, the very country he doesn't respect? Doesn't the nimrod realize, WE ARE ALL THIS COUNTRY?!?!?!?!

FF2 - would you be ok if he pissed on the American flag? That's non violent protest as well, and it's his right. Would I be "OK"? Not sure what that means. Not sure why we even have to go towards hypotheticals. Lets stick with what he did. As I've said, I disagree with his actions. I think he's foolish. But support his right to take them.
