What really happened yesterday ? We watched a game of below average college football. Both quarterbacks looked great, the wide receivers and tight ends looked great. Why ? Both defenses sucked balls but in particular Miami's defense. Cortland Finnegan was a joke. Tight ends were running wide open with little or no coverage on busted play after busted play. It made the qbs look like superstars. I hope they look at yesterday's game film before they decide to forgo a qb in the draft. Forgo what QB? Neither Mariota or Winston are falling to #6. And I could care less about spending a 2nd or 3rd round pick on someone like Brett Hundley, Bryce Petty or Dak Prescott. The odds of any of them ever amounting to anything more than career backups is slim to none. Thanks to the win against the Titans, a Geno/Matt Moore competition is about the best we can hope for next year. So we might as well build up the rest of the team. FSU are underdogs on New Years Day. If Winston plays lights out and dominates the game .... then granted Jameis will not fall to sixth. However, right now, I think it's too early to believe that Winston will not fall to six. It also depends primarily on his pre-draft interviews and what the various teams security checks come up with. Everyone knows he is talented but there will be teams that will not risk a top five pick on Winston.
