Getting anything for Halak and moving that salary would be a nice win at the deadline. Does this guy have any credibility? Never heard of him before.

Fuck, no trade, Garf. This team ain't built for a deep run this year. With clinkers like Saturday in Columbus and last week in Toronto, you're not going far at all in the layoffs, if they even make it. Don't trade to just try and make the playoffs.

Getting no help on this night. BUF, PHI, and BOS all winning. NYR also for a kick to the dick.

I wouldn't want to trade for a rental -- but if we can get a young scorer like Matt Duchene or Jordan Eberle, both around 26 years old and under contract through 2019 -- I could live with that type of deal, depending on the price. And if Garth can find a way to move Halak and his contract for a late round pick, that would work as well.

Now all they have to do is shitcan Garth as soon as the seasons over, and put forth a plan to build a world class hockey arena at citi field. Have a great off-season by getting a legit winger and another d man to replace hickey. Sign Jt long term because with a brand new arena and legit teammates, he'll want to stay here.

put forth a plan to build a world class hockey arena at citi field Do you think they move? Living a few time zones away dilutes the typical news that all of the Tri-state area people are privy to.

From what I understand, they have to be out of Barclays at the end of next season, or the season after at the latest. Best thing to do is lock down an arena commitment now. I think NVMC was remodeled, but now only holds like 14000 - too small for NHL.
