Needed 12 pats on the road trip. Came up short, sittin out of 8th.
Couldn't even catch them on the back to back. Lame!

Time for Garth to bring Halak back up. This goalie situation is going to cost us the playoffs. One would think, with the season winding down, and you are fighting for your playoff life, you would want your two best goalies on the roster. Instead, we are riding Greiss nearly every night. His play has dropped off in the last few weeks, no consistency at all. He needs the occasional night off, but our second best goalie is stuck in Bridgeport, being punished for his agent speaking out about the ridiculous 3 goalie situation that Garth created. Our GM, the ex-goalie, that has royally fucked up the goalie position and if we miss the playoffs this season, that is the biggest reason why.
Cappy was only part of the problem. Garth has got to go.

Time for Garth to bring Halak back up. This goalie situation is going to cost us the playoffs. His penchant for allowing a goal within 2 minutes of the isles scoring was maddening, same with allowing a softy in the last minute of a period. Lighting it up in the AHL doesn't mean he'll be solid in the NHL. Berube is hot garbage, though. And yes, Garth has got to go. |

Can't argue with you that Halak was not having a good season when he was up here, but at least he, unlike Berube, has done it before. He has played well, in pressure situations. It appears pretty obvious to me that Weight has no faith in Berube, why else do you run Greiss out there every night on a 9 game road trip, including a stretch of 3 games in 3 cities over 4 days. Greiss has already started more games than he ever had before in a season. He was great in December and January, but now he is at a point where it seems like he sucks in 1 out of every 3 or 4 games. The guy needs a break, and with so much on the line every night, I want to see the experienced guy giving him that break. |

Berube has to get one of the next two starts, so maybe this'll be the line in the sand. Play well, you stay. Suck it up, and you're gone. |

My God, Berube is dogshit awful. I haven't seen anything flopping around like that since my son pulled a flounder out of the sound 4 years ago and dropped it on the boat deck.
