2-2 tie, 20 minutes left. What are the chances those fuckers lie down like dogs in the 3rd period to protect the legacy of their precious 66, by keeping JHS and the Isles out of the playoffs? i doubt it, but I do see an OTL for Pitt. And with that, the season is now over. |

I can't imagine a GM screwing up a team in a single season much more than Gart did this year: The 3 goalie fiasco. Keeping Cappy around until January. JF Berube. No moves at the deadline -- stuck with Hickey at forward in do or die desparation games in the last week. JHS not coming up until March Halak not re-joining the team until the last 3 weeks of the season when we were already on life support. Total clusterfuck of bad management this season. Will say a lot about this new ownership (and not in a good way) if Garth is around for another season. |

I think they will explore moving locally, but the question is where? A few spots get mentioned, but those would require building a new arena. And that obv. takes time and money.

Absolutely. Tough to get to, ice sucks, more than a few obstructed seats.

I guess for the Isles, next steps are exit interviews (which are being conducted by Weight and Snow), and probably the decision to keep or fire Snow (and Weight I suppose) would come pretty quickly if its coming? Personally, I want to see Snow gone, and open to keeping Weight if the new GM wanted.
And then the expansion draft... keep 8 skaters and a goalie or 7 F / 3 D and a goalie. Right now I think my list would be eight skaters:
Tavares
Ladd (required - NMC)
Lee
Boychuk (required - NMC)
Leddy
Hamonic
Pulock
DeHaan
Griess

Pretty sure each team submits a protected list, and anyone else is fair game, until you lose a player.
Oh, and pretty big item this summer - trying to resign JT long term!
