Will have to watch. I'm old enough to remember the 1972 Canada-USSR series. That was some amazing shit.

Watched 30 for 30 of Miracles and Men
Perspective from Soviet team losing to USA in 1980. Deep rich Russian history of their brand of hockey. Amazing watch.
Will be sure to check out Red Army doc as well.

Anatoly Tarasov never gets his due. The man invented a new style of hockey. While the Canadians and the rest of the world were playing hockey in straight lines with the focus being on the man with the puck, Tarasov saw Hockey in multiple dimensions with the 4 players without the puck being the focus of play. I will be forever disappointed that KHL chose to name its trophy after an astronaut rather than the father of Russian hockey. Such a travesty.

^I was able to get Espo, Espo, and Cournoyer. Dint know Mikita. NBC sports Network did a great documentary on the '72 series. They have interviews from both sides.
