I just read that entire thread. JN is like a watered down version of JI. It's the same joke over and over and is lacking the in your face personalities. At JI moment we could be at each others throats and the next drinking buddies. I never got that feeling at JN and I originally signed up their first. I'm glad you and others were able to put up this site. There is a reason why so many of us chose it over an established site like JN. It speaks volumes about the type of community we had. I think too many of you guys feel like you have to polarize the decision... like, in order for you to be happy with Ragu's site, you have to take a dump on JN or whatever other alternative there is. I post on a handful of boards, they all come with their pro's and con's... the adamant "I belong to this tribe, all others are shit" reeks of insecurity. They are message boards, lighten the fuck up. Good post. I've never really understood the "If I post on THIS site, I have to hate THAT site" idea. And, it works both ways, there is/was a ton of dislike by JN posters for the JI site. In fact, it's what drove many of them (you?) to JN from JI...they really didn't care for some of the moderators, posters or maybe Sean. Everyone has their own gripes and reasons, and that's fine. But I'm cautiously optimistic that that won't happen between ragu's site here and JN. There will always be some people who either don't get or don't like the brand of humor, self-deprecation, and randomness that was the JI hampur - Guys like SAR and SG3 go out of their way to trash JI and put down the Hampur crowd, and that's fine because those are exactly the types of people I don't think we really want here. But again, most of the folks at JN I actually like and I was disappointed that they had left JI in 2008. But we're here now....it's different...guys like Ham are long gone and hopefully don't come here, this isn't Ballbather's site, etc. So I feel like this is a fresh start and I see zero reason for any animosity between this place and JN with the exception of a handful of posters who seem to have had trouble just about ANYWHERE they've gone. And, I do remember you from JI, Dr. Zaius / Integrity 28,....but it's been a long, long time....I think it was the Herm and/or Mangini days. In any case, hope you stick around. And if not, I'll see you on JN every once in a while. |

Who made DICKHEAD show up as dickhead...that's funny as hell!!! It's weird. When ragu setup the site it just automatically did that. We can't change it. It must be something built into the ProBoards programming and works that way across thousands of internet messageboards based on that software. By the way, you should really take this site for a test drive. Can you name the Patriots QB and head coach? |

I like both boards. I think a lot of the animus stems from Ballbather's actions over the years. He takes any criticism of his board way too personally, and responds accordingly. I completely understand why those who've been the recipient would have the axe to grind with him, but those of us that simply liked the crew and banter of JI don't have any bad feelings for JN. We're not Ballbather's automatons. We're just mentally challenged football junkies like all of you. I don't really feel any "allegiance" to one group or the other. I really do need to post over there more. There's so many guys I haven't 'seen' in ages, it's good to talk again. The only real negative over thereis now you guys have the Sg3AR combo going full-ebola on your asses. It's one of the pleasant realities of this here new place.  |

How anyone could take a little internet message board rivalry that seriously is just about the gayest thing ever. I didn't really care when guys like Eric Yellin and CTM left because what did they really contribute anyway? They formed their little "Anti Chad Militia" and just sat around bitching about Pennington and his "noodle arm" all day. I don't even remember exactly how the 2nd exodus in '08 started anyway. Wasn't it because that chick with the huge nostrils was banned by Ham or something? What a bunch of kindergarten bullshit. |

Not really - I just checked and there is no account under Augustiniak registered. Maybe you tried capitalizing the A? It won't let you do that. But you can change your display name to Augustiniak if you want (if that option is no longer available a mod can do it for you) the only problem is you might forget that's your user name next time you try to log in and you have to log in with your actual user name. |
