Don't count out Apple production here when the tariffs go into effect.

Third paragraph, second sentence. Ford has never said it was moving production to Mexico.
Kind of a non-story then, no?

I saw some media outlets trying to downplay this saying the industry did not expect Ford to move production of certain vehicles. But the thing is these companies never move all their production at once. They start small and then move out gradually. They "phase". So any guarantee he gets from Ford is good news.

I understand that they are moving 2 assembly lines from Detroit to Mexico and no US jobs will be lost. Yet we get the story from Louisville KY. There is a good reason for healthy skepticism.

Intended. Like Idzik intended on being a good GM. When the thread title is.... Jobs back in America due to Trumps policiesthe actual facts might help. But this being our post-truth world... Truth. Like Hillary being up 10 points? And the Republican Party being left in ruins after they lose both chambers as well? That was truth two weeks ago. That was the news millions of Americans were being force fed in push notifications and on social media and MSM. He got confirmation that the specific model's production wasnt leaving. And it doesn't take a genius to read the tea leaves when little by little production is moving to Mexico. And if you read the very last quote in the OP it summed it up perfectly. Ford is confident that a TRUMP administration will pursue POLICIES that will IMPROVE COMPETITIVENESS and make it POSSIBLE to KEEP production in the US. How is that not good news? And how is that not Trump's policies helping keep jobs when Ford says it themselves?
