Some of you people are deluding yourselves. A wall between the US and Mexico will be the biggest joke since the Maginot Line. And about as effective.
If you want to stop illegal immigration from Mexico you need to dry up the demand. That means jailing and fining the shit out of the people that hire them. It's like drugs--as long as there's demand the supply will find a way in. What really needs to happen is all of those "friends" and "neighbors" we have who run landscaping business, roofing businesses, restaurants, and all those of places everyone knows are honey pots for illegals, need to be brought up immediately or face stiff prison sentences. Will any politician, including Trump, have the guts to crack down on those people? I'm not holding my breath. Hell, half of congress probably employs illegal nannies, gardeners, etc.
