Yes, assuming they just raise the price of goods in an attempt to pass the burden onto the consumer. But if we are serious about American jobs and balancing our trade then we do have to entertain things like taxing imports to level the playing field. Many countries in the world do this. It is not a radical idea. I think taxing the money Mexican immigrants send back is a much better way. Current estimates put that number at $25 billion a year. I think it is much higher. How will you tax people that have already been rounded up and deported? lols. crickets.

If we make Mexico pay for the wall, great.
If not, I don't really give a flying rats asshole.
Obama and Hillary approved a $278 billion weapons deal to the Syrians less than a year ago and then Obama gave $221 million to the Palestinians during literally his last day in office.
Yet I'm supposed to be up in arms over a wall that would actually make a difference and keep non-tax paying fucking cockroaches out of the country?
Lolzapalooza
They're taking my tax dollars regardless.

Nope the import tariff tax is paid to US Customs by exporters Importers pass it on but you as consumer are not forced to buy Theyre meant to depress consumption of foreign goods as well Good thing I just stocked up on some Sol and Mexicoke. The Mexican Chips Ahoy! made there sold here with cheap sugar blow. .....so then the only people who will be paying for the wall will be US citizens who decide to buy Mexican products? Maybe Leader meant to say tax exports to Mexico? No no no L no. The tax is paid by Mexican suppliers but also acts as a barrier, a throttle to market entry here. US importers will mark stuff up to maintain margins, or settle for less because sales are down. Doesn't matter if they sold oodles of whatever it is to us before Unless they find someone else to sell their stuff to that won't tax it as much they're in a bind. Yes we could also tax exports to Mexico as well. I like a heavy tax on remittances. You wanna enjoy all the benefits of the USA and our infrastructure while sending your cash back a casa those days should be over. Look Mexico has always been a half assed neighbor. An inconsistent unreliable ally rife with corruption but still very dependent on us. Willing to send us all their wretches but Yet very protective of their stuff just try and buy property in Mexico.

Are you bitonti? Because this ^^^ was Bitonti-ish in a spectacularly simplistic fashion. Bitonti? Hell no. And glad that you enjoyed my explanation. I know my audience. Keeping it simple for a bunch of simpletons. Who are you again? I need to care enough about what you are saying before I'm part of an audience.

Keeping it simple for a bunch of simpletons. You know... it is simple. Most of life is. Wake up, obey the laws, dont like the laws? Have them changed. Thats why I support all these protests. THAT is America. Dont rely on your neighbor for your well being. YET we have (had?) a Europe based government that has allowed guys to think the way you are. Open boarders, everyone gets free healthcare, free dental care no citizenship required, no responsibility to ine's self. Sad actually. Most young kids care more about their TAT than education and they wonder why the income GAP is growing. Fine by me.. my kids have no tats and have great education and jobs.

Congratulations on your kids! Seriously, you have obviously done a great job in raising them. And unlike others in here, you saw the value of education and ingrained that into them. As for tats, I have none. I'm not a fan of them, especially on women. When I see a guy with them on his face, I cringe. However, having said this, having tats and being educated are 2 different animals. Plenty of kids in college have them, it is simply a choice. Cultural norms change over time. If you saw a guy with an earring in the 1940's, you would call him queer. Or something else. Now...it is accepted.

If you saw a guy with an earring in the 1940's, you would call him queer. Or something else. Now...it is accepted. Well.... partially I agree. A young kid, not yet with a set career, with a tat on her or his neck for example has limited their job options. It's that simple. BUt that is not the argument. The discussion is why we have laws that we won't enforce. How is it possible that a city mayor can offer services to illegal aliens, in fact paying for advertising to promote the services and have taxpayers fund it? Let's change the laws if we don't like them. Behavior is the most important factor of success. Most of my clients are very successful. They work hard, believe in self reliance and are focused. They don't look for free stuff..... that type of behavior is the enemy of happiness.

This act by Obama basically ruined any goodwill remaining from me and any other U.S. citizen that saw that report. With what he did, he's basically tried taking our tax dollars and giving them to Palestine. so I say FUCK YOU, OBAMA.

The cartels will be a lot easier to fight than the Viet Cong. They exist because they are allowed to exist by corrupt politicians and law enforcement. And who said bomb a country for no reason? If we were to be attacked it is within our rights to defend ourselves and eliminate out attackers. So if the cartel does blow up the wall it is well within our rights to have a few drones visit them. And what country is going to hurt us economically? They can try but in the long run they would be hurting themselves much more. I hate to break it to you multi-national globalists but America is exceptional. Despite the best efforts of the left, and frankly some on the right, we are still top dog. People risk their lives trying to get to this country for a reason. They may use Mexico as a highway but that aint their destination. You are always in a hurry. Corrupt, pro communist North Vietnamese leaders and police enabled the Viet Cong. Further, jumping borders to grab evildoers is a slippery slope...you're going to chase down thousands of Mexican leaders and police on their own soil? The cartel has limited options with capital; California is legalizing their cash crop. It would be fatal to them to go on the offense. DJT i the kind of president that would love to unload the US arsenal on the cartel. Thankfully Vietnam exists. He can walk out of his hotel and go to see the Vietnam War Memorial. Or at least, I would hope he would. I agree the change of policy is the important thing.

More like cockroaches. Continue to mock him. It makes the tears sweeter. He is a sensitive shyte. He somehow equates "approval" with "control". His jimmies shake hard when things don't go as he hoped.
