Money well spent. Either we are a country with borders, or we are not. Choose one. A 2% tax on money being sent back to Mexico is being tossed around as an idea to pay us back. Either way, money well spent.

Im assuming they will do a blanket tax on all remittances. Only fair and we shouldnt single out Mexicans. So if immigrants send back $130 billion a year, 2% on that would be $2.6 billion.

Amazing what actually giving a fuck about the border can achieve. But it is not without collateral damage. 30 years of a broken system being fixed requires adaptation and farmers are having a rough time. Hopefully they do something to improve H2B (seasonal employment) visas. Im sure they will as he got huge support from farmers during the election.

These farmers don't seem very supportive.

Eminent domain sucks. But if we want a country, we need a border. We are the United States of America, not the United States of North America. And walls do work. So does increased protections and actually enforcing our immigration laws.

These farmers don't seem very supportive. The border is THE worst place to live. This, along with all the checkpoints you have to pass through just to leave town as a citizen. Rand Paul is pushing a bill to stop warrantless cell phone searches of US citizens at the border. Its like living in occupied territory down there... Id personally move.

And yes its ironic, but eminent domain happens every day.

I think Canada has proven that they can govern themselves. Mexico definitely hasn't.

You'd need a boatload of transmission and distribution infrastructure to support solar panels. Add in security for critical infrastructure.
More jobs! Hire the Mexicans to dust off the collectors. They'll be facing Mexico anyway
