Is this good? I caught a piece of 60 minutes last week where the guy wanted to shrink the size of government by like a third. Italy has like 900 politicians to our 535. He said the gov of Italy has turned over like 67 times in the last 70 years and nothing got done. I honestly dont know enough about it to comment though.

Not going to pretend I am a scholar of the Italian govt but you can trim the fat without stripping regions of their power. Under the new referendum passing laws would only acquire approval from one of the two houses. People feared it would concentrate power to much power to the executive branch. |
