Haven't been here much and that's my fault . I have been hanging out on Jet Nation, but that board has become a toxic dump . If it's acceptable with you folks, I would like to try and hang out here for a while . I don't do blame, I just talk football and the draft . I scout QBs by watching game tape .

Fuck off. Kidding, great having you here Tin! What do you think of Trubisky and Falk? _ Actually, the QB I really like is the big kid from Boston College who transferred from Kentucky . I don't think any of these QBs are worth taking in the 1st round, and somebody is going to take the Carolina kid in the 1st. My problem with Faulk and all these kids is that they never take snaps from under center. These kids have no concept of reading a defense while dropping from under center or going through a progression.
2 yrs before most can play and produce so why not do it with a bigger stronger prospect who already has experience taking snaps from under center .
Patrick Towles is a last day pick with tremendous upside .

I'd much rather pick a QB based upon arm talent, accuracy, athleticism than what system they ran as 20 year olds against other 20 year olds. I think one is a god given talent and one is a learned skill. I'd rather take the superior talent than the guy who is more "pro ready" but an inferior talent. I had months long arguments with some dude on another site back when Mariota came out and Connor Cook was rumored to be coming out. He kept saying Mariota was "raw" and wasn't as pro ready as Cook. I countered with Cook sucks, is inaccurate, is immobile and while Mariota could learn how to huddle and take snaps from under center and take 3-5-7 step drops, Cook will never have the superior arm and physical talents of Marcus regardless of how pro ready he was. _ |
