We cannot afford to use 2nd round picks for guys that are good on punt coverage. _ At this rate we'd be better off using a 2nd round pick on someone who can punt. If Shane Lechler was taken in the 5th,surely we wouldn't have to waste a 2nd on a punter. Then again, Mike Nugent in the 2nd...

if you could pick 4 players on this team to suddenly be the "Best" version of themselves -- who would it be?

Watch him on punt coverage. I think he's very good. Awesome. Our second round pick from last year is great at punt coverage but not so good at WR. Great pick. So did you even read the post that lead to that? Or are you just that much of a twat? Like a moth to the flame.

Awesome. Our second round pick from last year is great at punt coverage but not so good at WR. Great pick. Smith has done jack shit, but we have almost received the production from Anderson (a free agent pickup) that we expected to get from Smith. Kind of funny how life works out sometimes. We have more than surpassed any production for Smith with Anderson, that's not the point. It doesn't change the fact that it was another bad pick that was a high second rounder. Imagine having a second rounder AND an UDFA working out for us long term....oh too dream.

You called him a good special teamer, whoopdefuckingdo. I don't have a cause. The post said a 2nd rounder should at least be able to contribute to special teams immediately. I merely pointed out Smith did that, but all the Draftniks that "hated the pick" ignore that, or don't seem to know it. That doesn't mean I think it was a great pick, I just find it curious. I'm not thumping my chest stating he's a star or anything close, I just find it funny how a "hated" pick like Smith gets looked at and dismissed immediately, but I wonder if Dorial Green Beckham was here sucking like he does, if people would be so quick to write him off, considering how much people wanted him. And before you say it, I have zero idea if that's who you "wanted" in the draft. Just speaking in generalities.

Dorial Green Beckham is a terrible comparison if you're trying to prove Smith doesn't suck. Smith is 11 months older than Green Beckham. Also in 2 years Green Beckham's stats are: 30 GP 67 REC 926 YARDS 13.8 AVG and 6 TDS. Smith's are: 13 GP 10 REC 135 YARDS 13.5 AVG and 1 TD. Those aren't close at all and the better one was taken after the other.

Whatever, if you can't see the big picture I can't help you. It's odd you only bring up the draftniks when responding to my posts but you never give your opinion. Just like your last post waffling back and forth over every word. You're the same poster that only a few weeks ago would still draft Pryor over Cooks. LOL Lets make this simple...Did you like the Devin Smith pick when we made it? And how do you think he's panning out as a contributer to this franchise moving forward regardless of draft position?

I don't need or want your help. I dontbvalue your opinion at all. I only bring up the draftniks when quoting you because the rest of them are good. You aren't. I have no clue where you got the thing about Cooks and Pryor. I never said that. All I've ever said was that he was decent last year when he was used to his strengths. Didn't say that when they drafted him either. I was fine with the Smith pick. He added an element, or potential element to the offense that was sorely needed. Regardless of what most say, he was drafted in the general area most "experts" thought he would. He has not contributed as much as one would hope, that doesn't mean he's a complete washout. That's my whole deal with pyou. You are so quick to label him a bust so you can pat yourself on the back about your "draft analysis" that is meaningless. Whether you want to admit it or not, the biggest part of his lack of contribution is him shredding his knee up.

Just because Smith has been worse, doesn't mean Beckham has been good. 2 catches per game and 1 TD every 5 games is not some incredible start to a career. All I was saying is that I'm pretty damn sure no one would be bellowing about Beckham being terrible, because it wouldn't back up what they thought about him prior to his NFL career.

Then why did you bring up his name? That's a comparison. We might disagree, but 98% of us on this site want what's best for the Jets. Beckham's question marks were off the field, but you can't act like a WR that is a year younger and put up 7x the stats isn't better. Even if the other one has been injured a lot. Their first year stats were 10 games 135 yards and 1 TD to 16 games 549 yards and 4 TDs. If Smith put up Green Beckham's stats everyone including you would be saying he's a stud. Yet we're clinging to Smith's below mediocre stats and praying for a hail mary.

Apparently they feel otherwise, I only go by my track record. You don't and have never had one, yet you have some weird type of hard-on for me.....I even tried the olive branch earlier.
