Jets should take this guy they will be close enough to get him he is tearing it up in the orange bowl. Jets would finally have a real weapon this offense has been missing for years. Go out sign and draft a few OLS this guy would help solve a lot of this offense problems at QB.

He's my #1 choice for our first pick. We need to fix up the secondary and OL but we also need playmakers on offense. Especially if we let go of Marshall.

This guy is a game changer. There are only handful of player like Cook unfortunately the front office doesn't have knowledge or the courage to take this guy.

Sign me up.
We haven't had a homegrown legit offensive skill player in god knows how long.
Fournette's up right style and injury history worry me (sorry UT), plus Cook just seems more dynamic.

I'm sorry, Fournette is still #1 RB in my eyes. I've seen more than bowl games to show me the difference. Never know though. I can see Fournette vs. Cook being what Sammy Watkins vs. Odell Beckham Jr. was.

Either way, I agree. We should draft Fournette or Cook. We need a dynamic offensive piece to hang our hats on at least while we rebuild.

Yeah I would be cool with either one, dont get me wrong, I just think Cook may end up being a little more well rounded, but I dont know shit!

I'll take cook or fournette in a second. I personally like fournette a little better but it just comes down to which style running back you prefer. I think There both sure things and I would be thrilled if we drafted either of those guys in the first. I would also consider mike williams the WR from clemson. I think he will be a star.
I don't want to take an o lineman in the first. I know it's a need but you can find good lineman after the first and they can sign a free agent or 2.
But if I know the jets, we will end up reaching for a cb with our first rounder

Still not taking him over Fournette
Cook may be more well rounded, and odds are he always will be...but as I've said before...I'm not passing on potentially the next Adrian Peterson for potentially the next LeSean McCoy.
Peterson is arguably the best RB of the last 20 years and probably Top 5 all-time at his position, despite never being a great receiver out of the backfield. Even in his prime Minnesota would usually play Toby Gerhart on 3rd downs.
And it's not even like Fournette is below average as a receiver or in pass pro, he's just not going to blow your tits off in those facets, at least not yet.
But as a pure runner, both inside and out? He's a goddamn monster.
With Myles Garrett being a total pipedream, Fournette is #1 on my list.

Peterson and Marshawn Lynch are both big backs who weren't the best receivers and both had very good careers over the last 10 years.

People are blowing this "dynamic" and "explosive" stuff out of proportion. Tons of people favored Sammy Watkins over Mike Evans because he was more "dynamic" and "explosive". Fast forward 3 years and Watkins is still trying to find his groove as an elite #1 while after Antonio Brown and Julio Jones, you could make the argument that Evans is the 3rd best receiver in football right now. Fournette is 6'1 235 and is probably going to run in the low 4.4s. There's no question that he has breakaway ability. And there's also no question that he can carry defenders on his back or bowl right over their asses and pick up the tough yardage. As you've said before, Cook over Fournette is overthinking it if you ask me. Cook is a great talent, but dudes like Fournette are extremely rare.

I think we are all on board with taking either though. GIVE US SOMETHING TO BE EXCITED ABOUT.
