And the public seeing the DNCs dirty laundry but not the RNCs.... how is that much different than media outlets reporting "Trump paid no taxes", when the whole picture is that both Trump and Clinton used the tax code to their advantage. To be fair, neither directly effected the election results. And to be fair, most of what came out in those emails wasn't all that shocking to undecideds at that point. I would agree with this. All side noise. Nothing pushed people either way. I honestly think is came down to who people hated less. Whose face they DIDNT want to see for 4 years. Totally agreed. I thought from the beginning this was a choose the least repugnant option kind of thing. And to bx's point, he's probably right that some Bernie supporters saw the emails and were turned off, but they also saw her stuff publically with the superdelegates and all the other stuff that wasnt hidden in emails that her campaign was doing to marginalize Sanders run in the primary... the emails were just the icing on the cake. And if its true Hillarys maid was printing off faxes at home for her, whos to say an intrepid media source couldnt have dumpster-dove and found out similar info or worse, had they been motivated to do so. It doesnt sound like HRC or her campaign were all that focused on securing communications. Its all side noise. One side miscalculated their support and lost, end of story. |
