We've had enough of those projects. I'll pass. I'm not saying I disagree, and I'm not saying I want Watson, but I truly think the days of the great QB prospect are over. Other than a rare, rare occasion going forward, every college QB is going to be a project to some degree until college and NFL sync back up in offensive style. So what are you actually saying about Watson based on your last couple of posts? Are you on board drafting this guy sixth overall, second round? I also agree that every college QB is a project, they always have been. Unfortunately todays CBA makes it even harder to develop these guys with all of the limited reps and the college offense being so different than what NFL teams employ.

As far as I'm concerned, the only QB the Jets should pursue this offseason other than a low cost JAG like Hoyer or McGloin is Mike Glennon. A 6'6 230 quarterback with a rocket arm entering his 5th year and has shown plenty of promise in the past. I have no interest at all in guys like Romo, Tyrod, Cutler, Kaepernick, RG III, etc. And I'm not taking a mediocre prospect in the draft like Trubisky, Watson or Kizer over someone like Fournette, Cook, Adams or Hooker. Especially since in all likelihood the Jets are going to suck next year as well and kids like Darnold, Rosen and Falk could all be entering the draft. The problem with Glennon is we would have to commit years to his furthering development because of the contract he will command. He also might squeak out a few more wins than what we currently have on our roster, thus destroying our ability to draft a great one in 2018. Mired in mediocrity, yet again. Fuck that. 2018 Draft is loaded with Blue Chip QB prospects and that is what this franchise needs. Not some discarded 3rd round statue looking for a pay day based on garbage time 2 years ago. Sink or swim with Hack, Petty, or McGloin. With that scenario we might eventually get a rebuild right.

I do not want the Jets to take him at 6, because the roster isn't ready anyway. Perfect world the Jets add their future QB next year or 2 years from now when when the roster is (hopefully)in less turnover and ready to support a young QB. So no, I don't want them to pick him at 6, but not necessarily for the same reasons others don't. I think he can be a good QB in the NFL, if you get an OC that knows how to use him. If for some reason he is there in 2nd round, then I'd be all for it. I doubt he will be though.

Refuse to invest the kind of money Glennon would command only to extent our present situation. The answer is not chasing the next Matt Schaub, it's drafting the next Ryan

He is not nor will ever be an NFL Qb. We are better off with Petty and Hack next year. With the shitty record we will finally be picking high in a good QB draft year and we should be able to grab Darnold, or Rosen or other QB to emerge. Fuck 2017. I have spoken so let it be
