You know some companies have to communicate with people in other countries once in awhile. And? What does this have to do with companies putting out in their job qualifications : "BILINGUAL : ENGLISH AND SPANISH"? That is discriminatory toward those who have the qualifications for a position but do not know how to speak fucking Spanish. It's completely ridiculous to me. And I, for one, would love for what I stated before to occur. It would help give EVERYONE ELSE who only speaks this country's Language(ENGLISH) a shot at employment instead of a more select few. And I call that hiring people that work for fucking peanuts, thus lowering a company's costs(good for them), which lowers the overall fucking wage that an American would otherwise get(bad for us). I dont have an issue with knowing spanish being a job requirement for certain jobs- like DDNY said, its just another skill. If I apply for a job that requires I have programming skills among other skills, and I dont, I probably wont get that job. And thats not discriminatory. They'll find someone who does. If my company, a Canadian company, required English and French language skills for a potential job, I either know French, learn French, or dont get the job. |
