In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people." Theodore Roosevelt 1907

^ "We have room for one language here, and that is the English language.."
This is what pisses me off. Whenever someone tries to find a job, finds one, sees that he/she have the qualifications for that job but doesn't apply because that job states it wants a bilingual person who can speak both english and fucking spanish, that FUCKING PISSES ME OFF!!
I mean shouldn't that be considered discriminatory toward those who can't speak fucking spanish? I mean...why the fuck does someone need to speak spanish in Goddamn America?? As stated, ENGLISH should and always be the ONLY language spoken, written, and thought of here.
Sorry...just had to get that off my chest.

Libs need to look up the refugee policies of Canada and Australia before they call Trump racist and xenophobic.
I was also please to find that Spanish language was removed from the WH website. You want to be part of this country then learn the fucking language like my grandparents did. Assimilate or fuck off.

^ Whoa! They actually did that? Cool! Let's hope Trump decides to pass an executive order making it illegal for U.S. Companies(of any type) to require Candidates to know a language other than English as a prerequisite for employment.

You know some companies have to communicate with people in other countries once in awhile. We call this "international business." And sometimes its really convenient to speak another language.

To announce that there must be no criticism of the president... is morally treasonable to the American public.

You know some companies have to communicate with people in other countries once in awhile. And? What does this have to do with companies putting out in their job qualifications : "BILINGUAL : ENGLISH AND SPANISH"? That is discriminatory toward those who have the qualifications for a position but do not know how to speak fucking Spanish. It's completely ridiculous to me. And I, for one, would love for what I stated before to occur. It would help give EVERYONE ELSE who only speaks this country's Language(ENGLISH) a shot at employment instead of a more select few. And I call that hiring people that work for fucking peanuts, thus lowering a company's costs(good for them), which lowers the overall fucking wage that an American would otherwise get(bad for us).

Let me type slower for you. My company does business in South America. In order to do that I need to hire employees that SPEAK SPANISH. Comprende?

Quick question: (Yes, I have lots of them today). A US Company does business in Canada, as well as the US. To hire employees for a call center, they ask for people bilingual in English and French. Is there an issue with this?

To announce that there must be no criticism of the president... is morally treasonable to the American public. Theodore Roosevelt I assume you are referring to Spicer's comments from the other day. I will entertain your hyperbole. There is a difference between criticism and what we are currently witnessing with our media.

Bilingual is a skill just like any other. Its a reasonable requirement for jobs where you will be dealing with people in countries that dont speak English.

I really wasn't talking about the media. Thinking more about individuals. Fair enough. Although I fear your standards are a bit too high for our fellow citizens.
