* Decent size
* Very fast moving forward
* Very aggressive and does a very nice job in play recognition
* Takes good angles in run support
* Generally a very good tackler, but can be over-aggressive at times and miss a tackle
* Big hitter
* Fiery player
* I didn't really get a feel for him in the passing game. The games I posted don't show a lot of throws in his direction.

I guess it says something about his coverage skills when nobody throws his way. Was really hoping to see him matched up with OJ Howard in the Bama tape, but did not see that much. He also missed a couple of tackles against Bama, which I have not seen on any of his other game tapes. Could not find any of his tape against Mississippi. LSU shut down Engram (3-15), but not sure what role Adams played in that one. From what I saw of the tapes you posted, I like him a lot better than Hooker, for whatever that is worth. I love his instincts in the run/screen game -- as you said, great play recognition. |

Any player you guys want me to post next? Would love to see the opinions on Derek Barnett. Guy is a beast. He can take over game. I saw him have a 2nd half for the ages vs. Florida in their comeback. He was so disruptive, the Gators literally couldnt get anything going. That said, I think he's better suited as a 4-3 DE unless he's going to be strictly a situational pass rusher in the 3-4. He doesnt have that fast twitch, multiple moves that it takes at 3-4 OLB and I'm not sure how he'll do in coverage. Seems like he'd be a mismatch for the Jets but that just my take. |
