Guy is a beast. He can take over game. I saw him have a 2nd half for the ages vs. Florida in their comeback. He was so disruptive, the Gators literally couldnt get anything going. That said, I think he's better suited as a 4-3 DE unless he's going to be strictly a situational pass rusher in the 3-4. He doesnt have that fast twitch, multiple moves that it takes at 3-4 OLB and I'm not sure how he'll do in coverage. Seems like he'd be a mismatch for the Jets but that just my take. Good to see you over here. Welcome. Thanks bud. Paradis gave me the heads up there is some good draft conversations going in here. Figured I'd drop in and check it out. See some old familiar names from way back in the day at JI. Your boys killed it on the recruiting trail, again. You just have to hope Smart can get more of those kids the Richt could.

Only guy who may be happier than I am with our recruiting class is Jacob Eason. 6 OLs, including a 5-star OT, couple of big 4-star WRs, another RB to add to the stable. It will be nice to have some decent options in the passing game that are over 5'9". Hopefully some of these guys will be ready to contribute in 2017 -- so we can actually put up a few more points against the Gators this time out. Hope you stick around here until spring - I am going to need some help getting the Mets forum going. We had a really good one in 2015, but it completely died last year (which sent me over to JN for the Mets talk - at least until I had enough of a certain insufferable Cubs fan).

Any player you guys want me to post next? After watching Mahomes 2016 tape against Oklahoma maybe we should take UT's advice and do Barnett. Not a big fan of Mahomes at all.

Going back on topic with Jamal Adams:
So far I like what I see from this player. He plays amped up and has great fluidity in his hips. His backpedal and change of direction skills are excellent. He is also good at diagnosing plays and with his good change of direction and can blow them up. Does a good job with taking the correct angles(Pryor anyone) and he'll hit you. Also looks great on specials as an added bonus as a gunner.
Downside like Maury mentioned was you don't get a true feel for his coverage and ball skills because of the tape but after seeing his athleticism he should be fine in that department. He's going to look great in the drills at the combine.

I'll be around, for sure. Eason is going to have a break out season, especially with Sonny and Chubb returning. He will definitely have some pressure taken off him. I see you guys winning the East this year.

And to miss on one at 6 is would be just awful. 18 was painful enough.

DB's are definitely not my forte when it comes to scouting players but damn, he stood out like a sore thumb.

His on field play speaks for itself, but when you listen to everyone who sat down and interviewed him and met with him, his biggest attribute may be his attitude and leadership ability. As much as I wanted a big play making target on offense, I can't really be upset with the Adams pick.
It is funny however that Davis and Williams were sandwich picks around Adams. Just a cruel reminder to everyone who was dying for an offensive playmaker.

Great thread. My favorite part of this pick (as is everyone's) is the leadership. We are a leadership vacuum right now with our supposed leader skipping meetings. You can't fix a team or defense/offense with one pick (ok qb or passrusher), but when that guy will allegedly make everyone around him better...well that's about as well as you can do.
Give me Cook now and this will be my favorite draft in some time.
