Why must we eat bitter herbs grandfather?

Grandfathers father settled in Buffalo. He was a barber. Put my grandfather thru Law School in the 1920's at University at Buffalo.

...who here hasn't tried to pass themselves off to the local Hebrews as one of their own...be it that cute Lisa across the street...or your best friend telling you to inform the furniture store your his cousin to get 10% off on delivery...and the chopped liver...oy...don't get me started... Not once, but twice have I seen Orthodox fellows on a plane ask to switch seats because they were next to a woman. The first time someone agreed to switch seats. The second time, well, let's just say Ira had an UNorthodox flight. If your religion only allows you to sit next to certain people on a plane, perhaps it's time to re-examine your religion. I was flying with my GF one time and she was asked to move by an Orthodox Jew. She switched seats and sat on the other side of me. It wasn't the biggest deal, but she was pretty annoyed. I didn't even know that was a thing. Actually a lot of similarities between the mooslim religion and judisim - Hallah is basically kosher. Can't they just get along :-) |
