Ok, we have to prepare ourselves for the possibility that Jets go QB in the first round. Let's start with Trubisky.

I honestly think there is no way in hell that we are drafting a QB high again so I haven't paid much attention to Trubisky. I never watched him play live so I'm only giving a half assed assessment based on that Pitt tape.
He never leaves his first read throughout that entire game. Stares him down and waits for him to either come open or runs. He has a lively arm with some nice velocity. Accuracy looked good in tight but some concerns when he stretches the field.....either short or long but he did drop some nice balls in there. +1 That he is Polish.
Overall I think the chance of us drafting him is remote to none because our GM and HC are on the hot seat, and deservedly so. Why would they draft a QB with barely any experience in the first round when they are fighting for their jobs? It would also expose Mac for making two wrong choices at the QB position in the last two drafts.

1 year starter and an underclassman who comes from a one read offense where most throws are made around or behind the LOS.
What could go wrong?

* Adequate Size
* Good athlete who shows the ability to pick up yards with his feet. I've also seen him power clean over 300lbs on his instagram page.
* Good, not great, arm strength. He is able to hit the far sideline throw.
* Accurate passer, but he has a tendency to throw off his back foot a lot
* Nimble in the pocket and can buy time
* Handles the pass rush well
* Plays fast
* Played almost exclusively out of the shotgun, so one can question how he will play under center
* Goes to his first read a lot, but I saw instances of him looking through his reads and manipulating the safety
* I like Trubisky the most out of all the QB prospects
* He reminds me of Derek Carr when he was at Fresno State
* Not a huge sample size of his game tape as he only started one year. That makes me cautious after the Sanchez experience.
* I don't think Trubisky makes it past the Bears, but if he is there at the Jets pick, that is going to be a tough decision for Maccagnan
