Middle of February. Time for Ptichers and Catchers to report, and time for a new thread. Syndergaard apparently showed up in great shape for the season, but Zack Wheeler already reporting tenderness in him throwing arm. And so it begins...

Hopefully just scar tissue for Wheeler. Realistically, ~100 innings is all we should expect from him. But with Thor, Harvey, DeGrom, Matz, Gsellman and Lugo, hopefully they can do that, AND maybe keep the rest of the guys to 30 starts, keep everyone fresh and healthy.
Everyone talks about how they didnt add anyone... a full season healthy of all or most of the above is adding a ton vs last season.

I hope Matt Harvey becomes a total beast again.
Yeah, I said it.
I want a return of The Dark Knight.

Agreed. Nice to have the staff healthy again. Now hurry up and move Wright to 1st. Hopefully they can stay healthy, this team goes as far as their staff can take them. Not really expecting much out of Wright -- I hope I am wrong, but I see anything we can get out of him this year as a bonus.

The reports on Cespedes are some of the most exciting reports I've seen in a Met player in a decade.
The dude is in shape, locked in and totally comfortable.
Going to hit 40 HRs and 125 RBIs.

There is no reason for David Wright to be on this team. Just ridiculous allready. Also sucks to see the Nats sign Weiters and were stuck with Darnaud again.
Why hasnt Conforto been talked about moving to first.
This team is just too stubborn, but I am fairly optimistic at this point.

Comfort and d'Arnaud tearing the cover off the ball.

Comfort and d'Arnaud tearing the cover off the ball. _ Best part of that is that Conforto is hitting lefties. Hopeful he keeps it going.

Looks like our 4 stud pitchers are going to be at full strength and Wheeler not far behind.
Cespedes and d'Arnaud are crushing it and Conforto is becoming a hit machine.
This is going to be a great year.
