Total bust in the making. Undersized, overhyped, lacks elite athleticism, head case, thug. I would pass on him regardless how far he falls.

Burfict had muchhhhh better instincts but isn't the athlete Foster is. Burfict also weighed 20LB more. Foster dropped down to 225 this year to be more effective. However, both of them play pissed off which I like at the LB position. Foster is probably the best Bama LB in the last 5 years, but he's still a touch overrated like the rest of them. He's destine to be a Bengal after this.

I'm not saying you guys (or anyone is crazy) for not liking Foster because he's a douche. Or even versatility...
But i don't know how you (the proverbial you) talk yourself into thinking he's not going to make it in the NFL; performance/production wise. Not talking world beater, just a regular old LB'er...
That said, i'm not crazy about him, and prefer Cunningham or Davis.

Have to imagine every LB-hungry team just quietly smiled to themselves... Lots of teams probably want him, but not one was overly excited about having to spend a 1st round pick to get him.

I just don't think he's the best in the draft. People are mocking him as high as #2. I'd gladly take Reddick or Davis over him. Also I think he's a better version of Cunningham. Foster is at least an above avg tackler.

I think he still goes in the 1st. The Bengals, Broncos, Raiders, and Chiefs could all use him. He also doesn't have the history Gregory had to drop him too far. I wish he at least did a pro day after getting kicked out of the combine. That's what's really going to hurt him after all this came out.

That said, i'm not crazy about him, and prefer Cunningham or Davis. It's because he's fucked in the head and got kicked out of the combine during medicals. Did you ever see his past history? He's vastly overrated athletically because he plays on the vaunted Bama defense and had clean lanes. When I watched his tape I never saw anything special...now throw in the headcase problems and failed drug test. Fuck no.

Nothing like bringing up an outlier that eventually was detrimental to his teams success. I'm not disagreeing with you necessarily, but i'm not pointing out an outlier. I'm pointing to a similar case. How many possible round 1 lb'ers tumble in heroic fashion on a yearly bases?... not many. Any way, he's not worth this much real-estate when we should be talking about why the Jets are allergic to dynamic playmakers on offense

If we get Williams, Fournette, Cook or Howard in the first, would anyone be against taking Foster in the second? It's the kinda move that confident teams make but we're the Jets so it'll probably blow up on us.
