Let's be honest here...dip McCaffrey in chocolate and he goes a helluva lot higher than he's currently projected.

Paging RobR. Disappointment waiting for you at checkout. I don't believe anything I read about teams liking certain players, especially at this juncture.

Maybe Kareem Hunt running 4.6 drops him to the top of the 3rd. Would be happy to have him there.

Saw in the paper that Fournette didn't watch football as a kid, never really thought about going to the NFL. Is it any knock on possible motivation?
There's no doubt about his physical talent - but that (it's always been easy for him) plus a lack of deep-seated love for the game makes me wonder how much "heart" this guy is going to have. It's one thing on a great dominant team with a winning culture like LSU. That's obviously not the Jets. Double that pressure for anyone drafted in here to be the "face"'of a franchise.
I don't watch college ball - so just putting out a thought for perspective from you guys who watch college.

My ability to follow this year has been hampured (pun?) with problems at home, so excuse me if some of this is dated or inaccurate. early thoughts? --Disappointed in Cook. The guys is doing everything slowly bleed out the excitement he came into the offseason with. 4.5 dalvin? really? --Fournette's time is uber-impressive. But his weight and shit. poor vertical.. that might not end up meaning anything on the field, but I wish his blue-chipness was less complicated. He's not perfect and I wish he was. --Aaron Jones ran a 4.50 flat. Dont' sleep on him, i love what i've seen. I liked what i've heard about Hunt & Smith thus far. strengthens my feelings on them. Don't care that Mike Williams is waiting. Eager to see Jerome Lane's testing. Lamp is a hog. --Hodges and Njoku are freaks man. This TE class is legendary. Cook is still a stud. I'm not worried about his time. 4.5 is plenty fast. He also gets to his top speed quickly. Fournette's 4.5 is also impressive, but I don't think he accelerates as quickly as Cook. Once he gets started though he's a beast and has a higher stop speed. At this point I'm not sure Fournette makes it to 6. Njoku has been hinting that he's going to break the broad jump record by Byron Jones, but I'm not sure I believe him. He'll still put on a great performance at the combine.

I want us to draft both Antonio Garcia and Taylor Moton this year. Absolutely love Lamp and have since day one....he's going first round. Another guy I like later on is Dion Dawkins.
I liked Skipper earlier but he struggled in the agility drills big time. Garrett Bolles is horribly overrated. He'll be a 25 year old rookie with a checkered past and one whopping year of starting at the 1-A level.

What worries me about both Cook and Fournette is that they both put the ball on the ground too much. CBS Sports.com had the following RB fumble stats (# touches per fumble) for the draft class: Below Average (75-99)
99.7: James Conner, Pittsburgh 96.6: Tarik Cohen, North Carolina A&T 86.4: Corey Clement, Wisconsin 82.1: Leonard Fournette, LSU
81.0: Aaron Jones, UTEP 79.0: T.J. Logan, North Carolina 78.5: Elijah Hood, North Carolina Red Flag (Worse than 75)74.9: Jeremy McNichols, Boise State 74.3: D'Onta Foreman, Texas 73.0: Joe Mixon, Oklahoma 71.0: Alvin Kamara, Tennessee 69.8: Curtis Samuel, Ohio State 65.4: Taquan Mizzell, Virginia 63.8: Dalvin Cook, Florida State
57.7: Boom Williams, Kentucky 56.3: Justin Davis, USC 54.3: Marlon Mack, South Florida 52.2: Marcus Cox, Appalachian State 51.1: DeAngelo Henderson, Coastal Carolina I don't care how dynamic a runner they might be, if they put the ball on the ground, I don't want either guy on my team.

It's a little worrisome, but there have been a bunch of RBs that had fumbling issues in college and fixed it. I mean Tiki Barber's middle name was fumble and after Coughlin yelled at him it went away. I'm more worried when a QB fumbles a lot. We're never able to fix them. That's probably the only positive about Hack. For how many times he got sacked he rarely fumbled the ball.

I'm hoping he lasts till our 2nd pick. I know everyone wants Fournette or Cook, but I wouldn't mind taking Davis/Williams are 6. Then grab Garcia in the 2nd, Jamaal Williams in the 3rd, and the best available CBs with our comp pick and 4th round pick. 1) Corey Davis / Mike Williams 2) Antonio Garcia 3) Jamaal Williams 3) Marquez White 4) Damontae Kazee

Moton is really growing on me as a legit tackle prospect not unlike Donovan Smith who rose throughout the process. The reason why we have shitty tackles is because we never draft them.....we always draft guards throughout the draft but never address the more important position. The last guy we drafted in any round that was considered a tackle prospect was Vlad Ducasse.
