What should the FBI have done? If, I know that is a big word for two little letters, the FBI is accurate in their statement. They really cannot arrest the 13 YO on what they list in this announcement. It pains me to defend these asshats but it looks like they investigated and came away with not enough to take it any further. How the hell is anyone to know what someone will do a year from now? It pains me to no end to defend these fucks, but I just do not see where they errored. Again, ASSUMING, the info in the statement is legit. Terroristic threats are illegal. Could have arrested him, put him on a watch list, gotten him therapy, expelled him from school, ... I know it wasn't like he took a leisurely walk between the stanchions at the capitol or anything really bad like that but maybe when a disturbed kid says hes going to shoot up a school you take him seriously. The FBI is an embarrassment. The suspect was always "on their radar". Unless there is more information than what the FBI posted, I do not see evidence enough to do anything. It does not seem like they can pin the anon threats on him conclusively. I want to know who it is and how/where is got the weapon. I'd also like to see a pix. They take these every year at school, now? School id's? |
