Requiring basic ID to vote is not a major impediment to voting. And claims that it's racist are just sad.
On the other hand it's not a major impediment to fraud either. Illegals get drivers licenses, ss cards, TINs, credit cards, mortgages, etc. Requiring a photo ID won't prevent anyone from voting who wants to gamer the system.
On the other hand it WILL prevent a lot of legit voters who simply forget their ID from voting.
I'd be OK with that.
