Not much left to speculate on. I surmise we'll sign QB J. McCown and then team visits will maybe give us some direction to go off of No one cares and reads the rest of my mocks after Jets pick, so i'm just doing the top half 1) CLE - Garrett 2) SF - S. Allen 8) JAX - OJ Howard 9) CIN - R. Foster 10) BUF - M. Trubisky... unexpected value for them 11) NOS - D. Barnett 12) NE (trade w/ CLE for JG) - M. Hooker 13) ARZ - D. Watson 14) TB (Trade w/Phi) D. Cook.... offense will be sick. 15) IND - Q. Wilson 16) BAL - C. Robinson Rest of Jets draft*Jets trade back w/ MIN who covet Kamara, gaining picks #48, #86 and #129, MIN also gets our #150 *Richardson is dealt for conditional 2018 pick to DAL Jets select;1st) M. Williams WR, Clemson 2nd) S. Jones, CB WSH 3rd) C. Sutton, CB Tennessee 3rd) E. Pocic, C/G LSU 3rd) J. Sprinkle, TE Arkansas 4th) A. Jones, RB UTEP 6th) J. Ware OT, Alabama State 7th) J. Calvin OLB/DE Miss State.... (jets spend a bunch of time with @ NFLPA bowl) Thoughts? Let's hear it. WR is almost the last position of need on the team. Right behind long snapper. We have needs all over the roster and while there are no superstar WRs, we have more than enough talent and depth at that position. _ I don't see it that way. I see it as: Broken-ass Decker, Enunwa -- plus who the fuck? If Decker can't stay healthy, we're literally without a candidate to start at X. Ridiculous IMO.

Alright, since literally everyone seems to think it's too early for Jones--
This the adjustment i would make if i was calling shots
1-Williams WR 2-Everett TE 3-Sutton CB 3-Pocic C/G 3-Nicholson S (Mich.St) 4-Jones 6-Ware 7-Calvin
Happy you turkeys?

I wanted to slot him in there, but as far as I can tell Moton is somewhere between 4 and 5th best tackle... and i couldn't honestly pretend like the 4th best tackle is still on the board after 70 picks.

I'd have to agree....I'd take Howard at 6 and maybe go RB at our 2nd 3rd rounder instead of Sprinkle. My dream scenario is that Joe Mixon falls that far. It would be a PR nightmare, until he gets 1500 and 12 TDs year 1.
Other than that....I like it.

Excited even... he's just not the receiving threat he's being made out to be. Capable and a threat - yes. Dominant, ehhh i dunno. Engram and Everett will catch more balls annually I'd wager. In other news -- We just signed Patton. the fact that we're still signing depth at WR makes me think that Williams is a pipe dream.

Let's face it, the Jets are an Eric Decker stubbed toe away from being very thin at WR again. Minus Decker all you have is Enunwa, Andersen and Peake....and now Patton. That said, I think it is virtually impossible that the Jets select Williams at 6. He'll be catching passes from Marriota for the next 10 years.

It's a luxury pick. Seriously, we have huge needs at just about every position (other than D-line) where we have little talent or no talent. At least at WR you have depth, a few guys who can actually play and a few youngsters that may be players. We have dire needs at CB, FS, TE, OLine, Pass rushing OLB/DE, RB. And our SS isn't so good and not sure our ILBs are either. If we're going to take a skill position on offense I'd rather fill needs at TE with Howard or RB with Fournette or Cook then add another WR to our stable of 4-5-6 capable guys. I have no worries about Decker, Q is a legit threat, Anderson with another year could become a true weapon, I really liked what limited but we saw out of Peale- he could be a diamond in the rough, not ready to give up on Devin Smith, Quinton Patton if he signs and Jalin Marshall will be back week 3. Maybe not any superstars but that's a lot of depth. Not a position of need. _

I wouldn't have an issue with Williams, Howard, or even trading down a few spots. I think too early to take S Jones. Par, any thoughts on Mixon in the 3rd/4th round area? I think Mixon's sexy as hell on the field.. but same reasons why i don't think they take Cook, is the same why they pass on Mixon. Management doesn't have the locker-room infrastructure and stable PR yet. Mixon won't make it to the third.

I try to balance what I think the Jets will do with what I want the Jets to do in my Mocks.... and I want a playmaker on Offense. I'd like think the Jets would agree and picked with that in mind.... In our hampur, I'm drafting for the Jets purely on who I want. As in - If I was GM... and if I was GM, I'd take Cook and smile about it too.

I have a feeling the Jets will end up taking Hooker at 6.
A lot of it has to do with the way I believe the top 5 will play out.
1. CLE: Garrett 2. SF: S.Thomas 3. CHI: Allen 4. JAX: Fournette 5. TENN: Adams 6: NYJ: Hooker
Yes, the Jets will have a shot at top QB on the board. But I don't see them going in that direction- despite the rumors. Howard or Williams could be options, but I just don't see the value that high and both positions are pretty deep. Top CB could be an option, but again, the value and depth of position. I think Gilchrist will get cut due to injury and cap. Pryor will get another shot. Hooker is an uber talent with immense upside and would fit a need- specifically FS. Yes, there is good Safety talent in this draft, but nobody like Adams and Hooker. Those guys are CLEAR 1 and 1a.
The only wild card is if the Jets get an offer and decide to trade down- a team may want Hooker, Williams, Howard, Barnett or top QB.
That's just my take. This is what I am predicting.

Just a few comments and I am probably going to get busted up for this but I don't care: 1) I see Rueben Foster being our pick if it falls like that. Harris is getting too old and slow and Foster will be the heir apparent and then some. 2) I believe the Jets will get more for Sheldon then a conditional 2018 pick. More like a 3rd and a conditional pick in 2018. Yeah Sheldon is a dick but he is talented and teams realize that. 3) Overall I am ok with your draft...2 corners in the first 3 picks is a bit much. I would probably do a safety like Budda Baker in the second and Akhello Witherspoon in the 3rd.

For obvious reasons it's a tough sell in the top 10, yet maybe not. The bigger question it raises is why did we take an ILB in the 1st last year and a QB in the 2nd -- yet here we are considering addressing both positions in the first 2 rounds again... that's a polite way of saying "wtf"
