So, gangster RobR -- what's your thoughts on that Jylan reel? I can't read 'em like you. Do you have any tape on him?

Did he get drafted in our mock? He moves like DeCastro. I took him in the 7th round 238th overall for the Broncos. I was about to take him in the 6th but risked it like Aaron Jones because nobody was talking about him. And that's actually a really good comparison. If he gets drafted in the third round you will get so many imaginary points that the mythical hat will be crowned upon your head.

I'm confident about all my 7th round picks. I think all of them have a good chance to be drafted. As you know Levin is legit, and Jones looks like Bilal Powell. Colbert has great size and measurables and fits the type of CB people want. Alie Mo Cox is the next basketball player turned TE. Hell, Rico Gathers went in the 6th last year and I didn't know who he was. Then there's Ifeadi. He looks like another Ik Enemkpali. He's strong like a bull and gets a ton of pressures. If he could develop his pass rushing moves he could be a steal.

As we got that deep into the draft, I just didn't know enough of the prospects and I wound up taking a couple of shots in the dark on Jadar Johnson and Sojourn Shelton. I know very little about either guy, but I had to make my picks and I threw a couple of names out there. Couple of missteps early, but for the most part I was happy with my Bears draft through R5. The two 7ths -- just throwing darts at a dartboard.

All of them will probably go higher. Even Thomas might go 2nd instead of 3rd.

Do you have any tape on him? just the reel i posted-- It was tough watching that tape but he does resemble the prototypical LT. I'm not sure of his measurables but he looks tall with some long arms. He is a better pass blocker than run blocker. He plays with a terrific wide base and is great at mirroring his man. Looks very athletic and has a great first step. Uses his hands and punch very well. I like him. Do you have any more info on his measurables, age, back story? How did you find him?

I don't know his back story, but I keep tabs on the Alabama State program now and then and when i saw his name on a list of combine snubs i started sniffing around. Liked what I saw/heard - and been invested since. Obviously there's not a ton out there on the webz, but I asked Tony Pauline and he was a fan, and so are others. I guess he's something of draft darling but you wouldnt know unless you dig. Like i said, not a ton out there but i just now found this that may illuminate some of that back story question-- www.montgomeryadvertiser.com/story/sports/college/rankinfile/2017/02/15/sporting-news-says-alabama-state-offensive-tackle-jylan-ware-should-have-been-invited-to-the-2017-nfl-scouting-combine/97975376/

I started to get the vibe that this guy could shoot up like Terron Armstead a few years ago, but thus the hype's been pretty quiet overall.

sure, sounds fair. 50 to the winner, or both 25 to if it's 2 QBs Fun. You are on. Fewer than 2 QBs taken in round 1: your charity wins 3 or more taken: my charity wins Exactly 2 taken we each cough up $25 for the other's charity. Trubisky, Watson and Mahomes all gone. Dcat, you win -- what charity do you want Paradis and me to send $$$ to.

Standings after Round 1:
1. Bears (me) 55 points thanks to Patrick Mahomes (picked 65, went 10). I also had Solomon Thomas for the Bears (0 points, picked and went 3). 2. Redskins (Dcat) 31 points. Corey Davis (+12; picked 17, went 5) and TJ Watt (+19; picked 49, went 30) 3. Vikings (Beerfish) 27 points. Jarrad Davis (+27, picked 48, went 21).
As a group, we got 3 picks out of 32 in the right spots. Garrett at 1, Thomas at 3 and Fournette at 4. Several of us had two first round picks, but the Browns (Paradis) was the only team to pick 3 first rounders: Myles Garrett, Marlon Humphrey and Evan Engram.
