Hampur Mock Draft Rules
Mock Draft will begin at 8AM, ET on Thursday March 23. Browns (Paradis) will be on the clock.
I will be moderating the draft along with Hollywood Nosebleed and RobR. The draft typically takes between 2 & 3 weeks to get through all 7 rounds.
Each team will have 3 hours to submit their pick. The 3 hour clock will run from 8AM ET to 11PM ET. The clock will not reset overnight. If you go on the clock at 10PM, you will have until 10 AM the next morning to submit your pick (1 hour until 11PM, and then 2 hours beginning 8AM). After you make your pick, please PM the next team to let them know they are on the clock.
If you miss your pick, we will make it for you. Hollywood Nosebleed, RobR and I will confer on missed picks and try to make a realistic pick on your behalf. If you miss your pick, you still have the opportunity to change the pick as long as you make the change before another pick is made. All missed picks become final as soon as the next pick is made.
We will try to send PM reminders to the team that is on the clock when there is about an hour left and again within 30 minutes. However, it is your responsibility to keep track of the draft. Even if you never receive any PMs from the previous poster or one of the 3 mods, we will still pick for you if the 3 hour window expires.
If you miss a pick, please send PM to the 3 of us (Lith, Rob and HN) to let us know you plan to continue. If you miss a pick, and do not send PM, you will get an hour for your next pick. If you miss 2 consecutive picks with no PM to us, you may be replaced in the draft. This applies even if you have two consecutive picks for the same or different teams. If you miss your pick and send us a PM, you will have the full 3 hours for your next pick.
Trades are allowed, but are limited to 2017 draft picks. No future picks, no player trades and if you have 2 teams, no trades between your teams. A trade does not extend the window. If you wait until the last minute to submit a trade, it may not be approved, or the clock could run out before you get a chance to make your pick. Please try to submit trades with at least an hour left on the clock. All trades must be approved by mods before they are final. Every year it seems someone trades a pick they don’t have, we just want to make sure that the trade is valid.
If you are going to be away from your phone or computer for a while, please send 3 to 5 potential choices (in order of preference) so we can make your pick for you. If one of the mods is picking before your pick comes up, feel free to send your choices to the other 2 mods.
The NFL Draft Order will be locked as of Thursday morning. Once we begin our draft, the only changes to the draft order will be from Hampur trades. I will not update the draft order for a real NFL trade after we begin.
