Sounds good until we take Watson at 25. You're going to think I'm crazy, I'd love those trades and you know who I'd take at 25? Christian McCaffrey. Yeah, I said it. Howard and Fournette are gone and Cook's posse is starting to worry me. Let him run it 15 times out of the back field, catch 8 passes and return punts? I'm in. Use the extra picks for edge, CB, FS and Olive. _

This mock is shit. They have us trading back with two teams that are moving up to take a QB....and we are taking a QB. A QB that was bad enough to force Cle and Hou to trade up to get other QBs but good enough to be our 1st round pick. These guys don't know any more about the draft than any of us.

I don't want any of them either. But when you have nothing at QB and you decide you are going to bank your reputation and career on the line by taking a QB in the first round, there is no way in hell you are voluntarily taking "the leftovers."
He doesn't want to take one of these guys at 6, then none of them are worth taking anywhere in the first round. And if he thinks one of these guys are his franchise QB, then there is no amount of third round talent in any draft worth missing out on your guy or worth just taking the guy nobody else thought was good enough to be a franchise QB.

I agree. If you like Watson enough to think he can be a championship caliber QB, then you don't risk losing him by trading back. If you don't think he is a championship QB, why bother. I would not mind seeing the double trade back and ending up with 3 or 4 more day 2 picks, but trading back and then taking a QB? Makes no sense to me. |

Some of the guys doing mocks are obviously just throw some picks in there to stir the shit. I honestly hope we don't take a QB this year. I'd rather see the young guys fight it out in camp and unless they are both completely lost causes, get them on the field to get experience.

I think Jets will go defense no matter where they are in the draft. Even if they trade down. Only offensive guy I can see them taking is Fournette. Even if he is there, I still feel they'd go the other way. They want safety, corner, or a guy like Harris. I'm buying into the rumors. It sounds way too much like what the Jets would actually go for. |
