Most religious people follow whatever religion their parents followed and believe it is the truth. However most people don't agree with anything else their parents believe in. I never understood how that works.

They're all nonsense. Believing some guy in the clouds is looking over us is about as realistic as some fat guy going down chimneys and delivering presents to us one night a year. One was created to keep adults in line and the other was created to keep children in line. Be good in life and you'll go to heaven when you die or be good all year and you'll get presents instead of coal. I'd give some other metaphors for other religions, but i don't care enough about their nonsense to even bother. Religion is for the brainwashed. Unless you wear a Burka...then this country will bend over backwards to accommodate your demands from the sky.

This is a christian country. But controlled by Jews. Those aren't Jews, they are in Israel.

This is a christian country. This is true, more or less. "Eighty-three percent of Americans identify themselves as Christians. Most of the rest, 13 percent, have no religion. That leaves just 4 percent as adherents of all non-Christian religions combined — Jews, Muslims, Buddhists and a smattering of individual mentions." To the original post, Id argue abortion is more than a religious issue, but other than that, I got nothing. To me, religion is a personal thing, has no place in politics, and who am I to judge what someone else believes, as long as it doesn't infringe on me. Believe in whatever God you want, just dont blow me to smithereens.

Pretty sure everyone here knows my view of religion.
Of course, I had the luxury of growing up in a family that were members of THE worst religion ever invented...Jahomos Witlesses

Believe in whatever God you want, just dont blow me to smithereens. Problem is it's not that simple or easy. Religion has a big place in politics everywhere. Religion can often be found behind a lot of today's problems and conflicts. Remove religion from the equation and a lot of issues are solved with some basic common sense and compromise. Not the case when faith is involved.
