The whole league is trading up and down every frigin year in the 1st round except for the jets who seemingly get no calls. I don't believe for a minute that we didn't have a legit chance to trade down even if it was not for text book value. It's going to be painful this time next year staring at some franchise QBs that are just out of reach with not enough ammo to go up and get. Mark my words. In all likelihood the Jets are going to be drafting Top 5 next year unless Hack blows our tits off. And I'm fairly confident that Darnold, Rosen, Allen and Falk will all be coming out.

Would like the Jets to at least draft a corner with one of those picks ...but yeah the other two picks have to be offense. Id be happy with a corner as well. Id be happy with an O-lineman too. We have a lot of holes. A corner immediately upgrades our secondary over the course of two days. Yeah we def have plenty of holes to fill...I hope Cook falls to us that would be huge. They can't pass on that because RB is actually a need too, Forte is close to done and Powell is good but he get too nicked up when he is a 3 down back. A cook and powell combo would be deadly!

They might have gotten calls for just teams moving up a few spots adding maybe an extra pick in the later rounds. We have no idea. If they passed up a future first, then yes I'd be pissed. Especially if your plan is to go with Hack, you gotta have ammo for next year as back up. But I'd be baffled if Jets didn't have a top pick next year. That means Hack or mccown is winning games somehow.

Sign me up for Cook - Shaheen - Reynolds today. At the very least, it may dry up some of tears that some folks shed last night. I think its 50/50 whether Cook is there or not. There's a chance and the biggest positive is that many/most of the teams before us have recently used high picks on RB already (SD with Melvin Gordon, Rams with Gurley, Bears have Jordan Howard, Jags took Fournette last night, etc.). If Cook gets past GB and Seattle I think we have a shot unless a team like Cincy, Baltimore or Buffalo trades in front of us. If Cook is gone I know it won't be popular, but I'd lean towards DB again. Still several good CBs available. This Draft is deep with defensive talent and we should take what's given to us because this team isn't just 1 player away. We're in 2 - 3 years of rebuilding. Get the RB or TE next year.

Totally on board if Cook is gone, and a CB is the best option. Too many holes to reach, and you could rebuild the secondary in a weekend.

We need the best players regardless of what side of the ball they are on. The only positions we are really set at are interior OL and interior DL.

I wouldn't even be against taking a guy like Budda Baker if he's there and forming a fucking dynamite safety duo ala Seattle with Thomas and Chancellor.

Don't know what the Packers cap situation is, but I'd float #39 and Richardson for #33 and we take Cook.

Jets are reportedly shopping BOTH Richardson and Calvin Pryor.
Rounds 2 and 3 should be pretty interesting.
