I posted some video threads about Maye and Stewart it you guys are interested. When Maccagnan says BPA, its not just lip service. Maye and Stewart are both good players, they just don't address needs the way many of us would have liked. BPA is all fine and dandy, but so is roster construction and I'm beginning to have serious doubts about Maccagnan in that regard.
Let's see what happens today, but I absolutely want Pryor and Sheldon gone. During last night's press conference, Macc (ever the poker player) probably came as close as he ever will to admitting that they are trying to move Pryor. We may pick up another 4th and 5th for Sheldon & Pryor (along with some conditional picks for next year). Going to be a busy day today.

lol I could see the draft grades tomorrow: Jets A+. Didn't draft any shitty QBs. _ This is the type of draft that will grade out well with the gurus but the team will still suck. You're a god damned moron. The Jets are going to easily win 9+ games this year and win a wild card.

As much as I hate the Maye pick I will say I like the player more than most. If I had to guess I'd say he's going to fill the Deone Bucannon role. He would excel at that. They're just about the same size and extremely solid tacklers. Maye rarely misses, hits hard, and is one of the best at ripping the ball out. He's weak in coverage, but that will be masked a little if he plays a LB/S hybrid. Problem is we now have a small LB in Lee that was suppose to be good in coverage, but struggles with it. We also have Pryor, but he misses too many tackles and should be on his way out. Maye isn't as weak in coverage as you may think. He isn't as good as Adams as lining up one on one, but if you put him as a single high safety with everything in front of him he is really good. You can interchange Adams and Maye in different looks and he isn't only an "in the box" safety.

I'm not sticking around to watch what these ass hats do at the end of the round. This godforsaken franchise is cursed. You guys are great, but the Jets and the draft are not worth my time anymore. I seriously, honestly hate you and hope you kill yourself one of these days. Like for real, I want you to die. You're an absolute fucking moron if you think the Stewart pick is bad in any way. So please, for the love of God, just shut the fuck up and stop being a moron. Killing yourself would work great too. You're simply NOT a True Jet fan.... AND NEVER WILL BE. That's all. Bye.

Decker's cap savings is like $6 mill. Or $8 mill? We're not winning anything anyway, might as well cut him. And I really like him. _ You're a fucking scumbag piece of shit. The Jets are EASILY going to win 9+ games this year, and you're an absolute moron if you believe otherwise. You are simply NOT a true Jet fan and NEVER WILL BE.

It's tough enough to win in this league.....but when our GM doesn't value our draft picks (you really need to look at the trades around ours and the value the other GM's received) we're in bad shape
I hate this GM/Coach combo

For those knocking picking 2 safeties, when is the last time the jets had great, or even average play, from their safeties? The jets talent at S before the draft was as pitiful as their QB. A lot of great Ds over the years were made possible by dominant S play. Adams was a no brainer and as I understand it, the jets grade on Maye was far better than any other player available. I look forward to both fulfilling their promise as the linchpins of a dominant D for many, many years. Look around the league, great Safeties don't grow on trees.

Meh....not worth getting all twisted about the draft.
It's a crapshoot anyway. No guarantees.

Truth...
And even if we picked everyone the draftniks liked we would still suck next year.
Although leaving Cook on the board in the 2nd does hurt. I understand passing in the 1st because of injury/character concerns, but our 2nd round pick was a perfect place to take him.

Don't worry, I'll die eventually (we all do). I won't actually be quiet because I enjoy discussing the Jets with the other people on this board who don't happen to be belligerent, pendantic cunts like yourself, but feel free to put me on ignore. However, I do thank you for being the ultimate arbiter on the site of who is and is not a true Jets fan. To think that my 32 years of following the team (the last 10 of which I've actually spent money on being a season ticket holder) were all in vain. I don't know how I ever got through life before meeting you, but thankfully I am better off now.
