Used to be fave until i dug into Falk more and more.
I've got not bad at gauging these guys. I felt like was taking the crazy watching Goff and questioning this and that -- while no one seemed to agree with me... and yet, he looked exactly like i said he might. Didn't expect it to get that bad, but he was who i thought he was.
Allen is going to be a pro-QB. Can't say how good he'll be yet, but he so looks the part. Nice release, stands in the pocket, keeps his eyes/head moving, I like his footwork (underrated), his arm of course... And yes, i know i sound like nerd/loser. Looks like Rodgers sometimes.

I'll get into more detail tomorrow on Allen, but physically, it would be harder to draw up a more impressive QB prospect. He's like a more athletic Roethlisberger.

I commented on him last year with a less than favorable review although he was playing in the slop in the game I watched. College football is must watch this year when these QB's take the field and it's always a better product than the NFL. The guy I liked last year was Falk. He doesn't have the strongest arm but I love the rest of his game and he'll be pro ready for 2018. Let this kid grow into his body and you have a stud in the making because of everything else.

Great size, arm, and pretty good pocket awareness. I still don't like him tho. His accuracy is pretty bad, he has no touch, and he sails the ball a lot.

He make not have the strongest arm, but he has a great feel for the game. He'll stand in the pocket and deliver a great ball. He has a million times the touch Allen does.

I'll do a Falk thread next. I still want to get to Rosen and Rudolph as well.

Re Allen
* Great size. 6'5"" and 220lbs. He's able to stand tall in the pocket and scan the field. Kid took some hellacious hits in the pocket and bounced back up.
* Excellent mobility in the pocket as well. He's able to run for yards and breaks tackles.
* Outstanding throwing motion. Quick release and nice over the top delivery.
* Elite arm strength. Multiple examples in the videos of him scrambling and throwing ropes into tight windows 40-50 yards down field. Also flashes the ability to throw with touch and drop throws in the basket (see the TD pass at the end of the BYU tape).
* Plays in a pro style system and takes more snaps under center than most of the QB prospects that come out these days.
* Flashes the mental processing to work through his reads.
* His game is very green. He's only played one year of college ball and it shows. He has a "Browning Nagle" like insistence on gunning throws that would be more accurate if thrown with more touch and less zip. He also takes unnecesary risks with the ball that hopefully he will grow out of with more experience.
* I'm really glad he came back to school because the consistency on tape is not there yet for him. He does a lot of immature things on the field. That being said, he possesses tools that cannot be taught. If his game continues to develop this year, he's going to be QB 1 next year, he just isn't there right now.

That's the thing with Allen; touch and accuracy. It comes and goes... Rodgers followed by Derek Anderson... Definitely be under the microscope this year.

I don't think he has a Hackenberg accuracy issue. Allen is mechanically sound, his accuracy issues seemed to arise early in games when he was getting warmed up or when he starts trying to drill everything.

I think Rosen could be the biggest wildcard in this QB class. He missed almost all of last season and is coming off shoulder surgery. Seeing how he comes back will very interesting. We kinda know what Falk and Allen are already but Darnold needs to follow up that great freshman season with an equally great sophomore year to be the clear cut #1 next year. Depending on how Darnold's year goes, I wouldn't be shocked to see him return to USC for another year.

Also it would be just the Jets luck if Darnold had a solid year and still decided to stay at USC.

I remember coaches saying when he was at the Nike Elite 11 camp that he picked up the offense the fastest and was even questioning certain calls and making pre snap adjustments. He may not be everyone's cup of tea though.
