Just made some watermelon agua fresca. Nice with some vodka on a warm day. Just wish it were a bit more sunny today.

Stokes: Just opened a white wine from Campagna I've never tried before. Nice dry fruit and complex on the tongue. More than I usually spend ($16), but it looked interesting. Grapes are grown on the sides of an inactive volcano.  |

And a very good change when you grow tired of big California Cabs, and don't want to pay the premium for an Italian Amarone or Barolo. |

I usually stick to the California cabs and zins in the fall and winter. And the California red blends - some are better than straight cab or zon, and there's a lot of excellent blends. Even Bogle has a red blend that is very good for the price. |
