Josh Allen OMG. Hard to imagine anyone thought he was first round material. He totally shit the bed against Hawaii.
Rosen and Darnold do impressive things even in games where they don't play their best. Plus Rosen does it without much help. And Darnold did it this week without Ronald Jones and Steven Mitchell.
Any Rosen Darnold debate, in my view, is as silly as the Winston Mariota debate. They are both going to be top QBs in the NFL.
The rest of the QBs take a back seat to these two, and their success will depend greatly on being in a system that suits them and playing for an HC/OC that understands how to capitalize on their strengths and hide their weaknesses i.e. Jim Harbaugh with Alex Smith and Colin Kapernick.

With that, Rosen falls to 2-2... Now i know winning records in college can be a function of many things - but, Darnold is 4-0. Those two loses were winnable games for the bruins. Really dont think it should be held against Rosen. He isnt getting help. He put up 40 against Memphis and would have last night had he not had a td dropped in endzone, the bizarre call Stokes referred to, and receiver handing pick to defender in first half, and his defense just trounced (dont remember a stop in second half). The more i watch them the more i think people would be higher on Rosen if he had Darnold's personnel. Only time ive seen Falk this year he got humiliated, benched and never threw down field. Do you see him in same class, P? To the post on Allen - its brutal to watch, that line really gives him no time and is doing him a disservice. He has shown poor decisions but i think is really struggling with the limelight given his guys cant catch and he is taking huge hits. I think he has a lot more arm talent than Bortles is Mahomes a better comparison?

Probably not... but there's raw materials with Falk that could be developed into a top 5 winning QB. Not fantasy maybe, but he has the accuracy, touch and timing. Stuff that Brady's leveraged into championships. He was on pace to be a round 2/fringe 1 guy but that boise game was a little upsetting. He's had 2 soft games to lick his wounds, and is staring down a date with USC this weekend.... This one will be huge for Falk. HUGE.

Maybe I will start a gameday thread tomorrow for USC - Wash State; Falk vs Darnold. Maybe get a little football discussion going, although I will probably end up just talking to myself.

Love this site sometimes. Don't think I will be drunk, but will definitely have a couple of beers in me. Been a long week for an insurance guy -- after 3 straight hurricanes, still trying to get our arms around the damage. Looking forward to this weekend a little more than most. Yup, a couple of stouts or porters and then Darnold and Falk are on tap for tomorrow night.

Normally I'm free every saturday but this year I've been helping my neighbor with his start up business. I'll be working again this saturday so I'm looking forward to friday night.

I guess that the one good thing about recovering from broken ribs in the last few weeks is that I have had nothing but time on the last few weekends. Wasn't able to do much in the first few weeks of Sept, so sitting around and w.atching college football has been how I have spent the last few Saturdays.

I should be around tonight for the game. I'm not as high on Falk as some of you guys are, but hopefully he changes my mind tonight.
